Paths to strength training

all strength classes…

Class runs in May and June 2026. All strength classes are capped at 3 people per session. Classes are taught by Sarah Booker, who has a background in both strength coaching and sports medicine.

The strength program is structured like a “team lift”, where each participant follows their individual strength sheet in the presence of others. Follow your own program with the benefit of the motivation and energy of others. Expect some individualization for specific conditions and goals.

Although class will entail doing work, it is not a workout class or boot camp. It is designed to support strengthening and injury prevention in adults. These classes address your interest in learning about mobility, strength training and injury prevention. All strength classes also emphasize reading the signals from your musculoskeletal system and adapting your strength plan accordingly.

Each group meets 1x/week . Homework is given for a second strength session at home.

Everyone who enrolls has monthly 1:1 meetings with Sarah, included in the class fee (1x each in May and June). These meetings are used to further individualize your plan, determine your mobility/maintenance routine, and discuss preparation for your seasonal sports.

Class starts the week of April 27th. It runs for 9 weeks. It is priced with the assumption that 1 class is missed, but you are encouraged to attend every week.
