Foam Rolling 101
If you have a foam roller and have not used it yet, or you have used it minimally, please join Sarah for an instructional class on how to foam roll. There will be a brief talk on the benefits of foam rolling and the fundamentals of when to foam roll. Then, Sarah will lead you through a foam rolling routine. We will foam roll the upper back, lats, pecs, glutes (maximus, medius), piriformis, hip flexors, quads, calfs, tensor fasciae latae, and IT band.
For this class, sufficient general mobility and shoulder stability are useful to roll the various body parts. It is recommended that you can be on the floor, and do a front plank and a side plank with some support. A foam roller is needed. It can be any length and any firmness (use what you have!). Foam rollers are available for purchase.
This is designed to be a stand-alone in-person instructional class. A guide will be provided to support practice after class.
